SmartGo's automatic level adjustment aims to find the right handicap for your level of play. Win 3 consecutive games to advance; lose 3 games to drop a level. Keep winning to advance faster.

SmartGo tracks the level per user, so you can let a friend play without losing your hard earned progress.

Scoring

Score: Show territory and score estimate.

Counting

Count: Show detailed counts explaining the score.

Entering Moves

The magnifying glass and crosshairs allow precise positioning of moves even when seeing the full 19x19 board. You can also use standard iPhone gestures like double-tap or pinch to zoom in.

Record Your Game

SmartGo explains the rules and provides a short tutorial to give you an introduction to Go.

New Game

Switch to Manual in New Game to play at any handicap or board size (up to 19x19).

Please note that SmartGo plays much better on small boards than on 19x19.
