棋谱库
SmartGo includes over 45,000 professional games, with all the moves and game info. You can use these games in many ways:
- Replay and study master games.
- Sort, search, and filter to find specific games.
- Find games that match a board position, either on the whole board, in a corner, or in an arbitrary section of the board.
- When playing against the computer, SmartGo will extract professional opening moves from the library of games.
Free Updates
We are adding to the game collection all of the time, and are planning updates twice per year. These updates are free to registered users of SmartGo.
Copyright
The professional game collection is copyright by Charles G. Robbins. He has invested thousands of dollars in acquiring, entering, and translating the games. We are licensing the game collection from him, and paying him a significant fee for every sale.
To protect the copyright and investment in the game collection, the games are provided in a proprietary format that can only be used with SmartGo. You can export individual games as normal SGF files, but you can't export games in bulk (see legal issues).
Other Game Collections
SmartGo also works with other game collections you may have. For example, there are about 10000 games in the GoGoD game collection that are not in SmartGo. SmartGo will detect and discard duplicate games.
Statistics
SmartGo shows statistics for each player, including games played and winning percentage. You can easily get the statistics for a single player by right-clicking on the player and choosing Filter by Player, and it will show you the opponents of that player and the winning percentage against those opponents.
